An immersive, compelling journey across centuries of tradition told through fiddle, feet, Gaelic song and storytelling. This acclaimed show that brought the house down at 2026 Celtic Connections and 2025’s Edinbugh Fringe powerfully explores how stepdance was forgotten in Scotland, kept alive in Cape Breton, with a lifelong friendship entwined with its revival.

Groundbreaking new work from award-winning director Gerry Mulgrew, and Deiseil Airson Dannsa founders – dancer Alison Carlyle and musician Amy Geddes. Deiseil means ‘ready’ in Scottish Gaelic: be ready for a mesmerising reflection on culture, identity and connection.
